SAFETY
RUSH-PEAK Joint Venture has recently been awarded the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ;Mobile District, "Celebrate Safety Award" in the CONUS Medium Contractor Category for the 1st Quarter of fiscal year 2007.  The award was given to the Combat Officer's Bed Down project at Patrick Air Force Base.

As of October 28, 2006, RUSH has successfully reached our goal of 1,000,000 man hours without a lost-time accident.  This milestone achievement has been a work in progress since the company's last lost-time incident in April, 2001.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
RUSH Construction, Inc. continues its history of providing scholarships for local students.  the Rev. Raymond Nieman Scholarship that was established in 1993 by RUSH Construction, Inc. In 1958,  Rev. Raymond Nieman founded Campbell Lodge Boys’ Home in Kentucky and served as its executive director for ten years. Eduardo A. Rabel, Chief Executive Officer of RUSH Construction, Inc., lived his formative teenage years at Campbell Lodge, where education was and continues to be a major goal for the boys.  This scholarship honors a man who dedicated his life to helping others in need.Applications are forwarded to the three local high schools every February.

As of May 6, 2006, twenty-two  “RUSH scholars”  have been the beneficiaries of Rev. Raymond Nieman Scholarship.

RUSH Construction, Inc. actively supports the local YMCA and has sponsored the annual YMCA Golf Classic for four years and has made a commitment to the YMCA to do so for four more years.  The funds raised during the event benefit YMCA programs such as after-school and seniors activities, outreach to families, and summer camp


 
OFFICE NEWS
RUSH has been selected as one of seven contractor's for the Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Regional Geographic Multiple Award (MATOCS) IDIQ.  It is a five year, $400 million program for Central/South Florida.
