RUSH knows that safety is an important factor in the evaluation and selection of any company, however, simply having a safety plan gathering dust on the shelf of a job-site trailer falls far short of the type of proactive effort that is necessary to maintain a safe work environment. Furthermore, an aggressive safety program is an integral element in controlling the schedule and cost of a project.
RUSH invests a significant amount of money and effort in our safety program, and this effort is evidenced by the recognition and awards that we have received. This investment is also represented in RUSH’s current accumulation of approximately 1,378,848 man-hours without a lost-time accident.
Further evidence of our commitment to safety is the fact that RUSH employs a full-time safety and quality control director. This position is one that few contractors of our size employ. The creation and maintenance of this position underscores our corporate philosophy and speaks of our willingness to commit significant corporate resources to ensure the safety of our employees, subcontractors, and associated personnel. In addition, we have three certified trainers for the National Center for Construction Education and Research on our staff. These are examples of the additional value that RUSH offers to our clients.
